Kate & Tyler | Engagement Session

Oh man, I am excited to hang out with these two again on June 14th.

I think the majority of the time I spend with Kate and Tyler is spent laughing, which is not always the case during a photography session. Usually I spend most of my time trying to make other people laugh and feel comfortable, but with Kate and Tyler they were already there – so in turn it allowed me to laugh and feel comfortable right from the start.

The first part of their engagement session was at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Oakland and then we headed to a neat spot along the river in Lawrenceville.

There is a really fun mural under the 40th street bridge so make sure you scroll down to see those images. The mural was actually Tyler’s idea, which I love. When you bring your own ideas and personality to a session the photos become an expression of who you really are.

Enjoy!

After the museum we went to a small park under the 40th street bridge in Lawrenceville. Tyler had mentioned at our first meeting that there is a mural under the 40th street bridge, but I was not expecting it to be this cool!

Right at the end of the session we found these cute doors that were at an awkward level off the ground. There were two pedestals in front of them and Kate and Tyler climbed up. I suggested that they do ‘the wave’ and dance. These last two photos are shining examples of why I think Kate and Tyler are so awesome.

Cara!!! I LOVE this session so much I could die. Well, hopefully not die, but I really do love them. The colorful and shadow-y ones are my favorites. Great work!!
