Kate and Tyler were married at the Church of the Ascension in Oakland on Saturday, June 14th. Their day was filled with so much genuine love and happiness. From the moment I arrived you could just sense the excitement and happiness in air. Everyone was so thrilled for these two wonderful people to be married. And, you guys, Tyler’s reaction to Kate walking down the isle was hands down the best groom’s reaction I have ever photographed! If you look at no other images in this post please look at those.
I’m pretty sure Kate is the ultimate DIY princess. She made all their centerpieces, pew ornaments, and most of their decorations. Look for the pinwheels and painted wine bottles below! Tyler and his groomsmen also surprised Kate with a singing number at the reception. They sang All I Want is You, you might know it as that adorable song from the movie Juno. 🙂
Okay, I could go on but I’ll just stop and show you some images. Congrats Kate and Tyler!!
Church of the Ascension is a really beautiful church. It has so many wonderful details that were wonderful to photograph. Like I said Tyler’s reaction when he saw Kate for the first time that day was the best groom’s reaction I have ever photographed.
Kate and Tyler have a special place in their hearts for Mellon Park which is a short drive from Oakland. It’s where they got engaged and where they would often go for an evening walk. We headed there after the wedding for photos.
This is the spot where they got engaged. <3
Mad libs at every table. 🙂
Congrats, Kate and Tyler! I couldn’t be happier for you two, and I wish you the best as you begin the next phase in your relationship. <3
Love the details and balloons! Great job Cara :).
