“If everything is imperfect in this imperfect world, love is most perfect in its perfect imperfection.”
― Gunnar Björnstrand
I’d like to think that every wedding is a perfect combination of imperfection.
Some people might think rain would ruin a wedding – especially an outdoor one, but Sam and Alli took it in stride. They hosted a beautiful backyard wedding on July 6, 2013. It was a hot and humid day, and a few minutes before the ceremony rain started to fall. After a brief delay Sam and Alli decided to go for it. They got married in the rain!
Sometimes the best moments of a wedding aren’t the ones you planned for or envisioned, they’re the ones you never imagined. Umbrellas while walking down the aisle.
Last week while telling a friend about this wedding they asked me if I was going to photoshop out the rain and umbrellas. Ummm… no. That never even crossed my mind. Why remove the most unique part of the day? The part the couple will remember and talk about for the rest of their lives?
Weddings are often the most perfect day of someone’s life, but it’s the imperfections that offer the most surprises.
Sam and Alli, congratulations on an unforgettable wedding!
Also a HUGE thank you to the good samaritan who held an umbrella from me during the ceremony. You have great taste in shoes. 🙂
Sam and Alli opted to do a first look prior to the ceremony. I’m so happy they did, Sam’s reaction was priceless.
Sam and Alli had a really unique unity candle, they made a Black & Tan.
I told you the sun came out…
Great photography. Beautiful wedding. Happy couple. Sam looks so much like his Dad, it’s amazing. Have a wonderful life together. Bill and Donna Lewis
LOVE!!
Love it Cara! AND I love the black and tan unity candle idea! It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful and unique ideas that people come up with to make their wedding day truly their own
Thank you, Sam! I know, that’s always my favorite part of weddings too, seeing the couple’s personality in the details. 🙂
Gorgeous. Alli, Sam, the pictures. Just stunning.
