I must admit I have been looking forward to this celebration for awhile. Angela and Fawad were married on Saturday, September 17 at Saint Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland and hosted their reception at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.
Those two venues alone are enough to make any wedding great, but this wedding was a special one. This wedding wasn’t only a fusion of lives and the start of the new family, but it was also the celebration of two beautiful cultures. Angela and Fawad had a stunning traditional catholic ceremony followed by a Pakistani reception filled with vibrant color and DELICIOUS food. The girls and Fawad even changed into traditional Pakastani attire for the reception. I could go on and on about all the special touches these two included but I’ll let you see for yourself in the photos.
Angela and Fawad, thank you so much for inviting me into your celebration. It was awesome to see everything come together for you. I wish you two nothing but happiness as you start your life together as husband and wife!
Angela wore her mothers veil from over 30 years ago. Insert all the heart eye emoji!
I loved this combination of dresses Angela picked – so classic and pretty!
Time for an outfit change into Pakistani dresses.
Angela and Fawad had Bhangra dancers lead them into their reception! After this the dancers performed and then taught everyone at the reception a few basic dance moved to use later in the evening.
