Lou & Caroline: Married at Riverview

You won’t realize the distance you’ve walked until you take a look around and realize how far you’ve been.

After photographing the wedding of a dear friend and old co-worker, I’ve been thinking a lot about this quote lately. Lou and I worked together what seems like 10 years ago, but in reality it has only been about 2 years.

He was my supervisor and always someone I could ask, “do you want to go get coffee” even at 4:30 in the afternoon when we both knew coffee wasn’t going to solve our frustrations. That seems like forever ago, in a good way. It’s refreshing to look back and see how things have changed, how life goes on, and how people change.

Lou and Caroline got married on Sunday, September 8th at the Riverview Park Chapel Shelter. They wanted a simple ceremony and a fun party filled with excellent food. Caroline is a sommelier at Legume so great food and wine was important to them. I am just going come out and say it… their food was the best wedding food I’ve had. Ever. And I have been to my fair share of weddings.

Alright, enough of me rambling, let’s get to the pictures and quite possibly the most unique wedding invitations on the planet. Congrats Lou and Caroline!

Lou and Caroline’s wedding party was their dog, Chloe. She was fantastic. 🙂
